Project Highlights: Freedom
of the Press
"Political journalism." In June, in collaboration with
the Foundation for a New Haiti (FNH) and the National Association
of Haitian Media (ANMH), Panos conducted a workshop on political
journalism. The 10-day workshop was attended by a dozen journalists
(4 from the provinces, 8 from Port-au-Prince). The programme covered
basic themes (interview, reporting, note-taking, objectivity, ethics)
as well as many specific panels and visits to institutions. The
course was financed by the Embassy of France and the Journalism
Training School in Lille (France).
